Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your VPS control panel account by requiring both your password and a time-based code.

Activate 2FA

  1. Log in to your VPS control panel
  2. Click on the top menu on "Account" and "Two-factor Authentification"
  3. Use your prefered 2FA app like Aegis,  EnteAuth, ProtonAuth, Bitwarden Authenticator etc and scan the QR code which you can see on the screen
  4. If you do not want or you can not scan the QR code you can enter the secret code which you can see under the QR code
  5. In the 2FA app you can see a time-based six digit number which you have to insert on the screen to verifiy your 2FA setup
  6. Done

Backup your Recovery codes!

It is very important to have a backup of your 2FA recovery codes. On the screen you can find a button called "Backup codes". Click on it and make a secure copy of the backup codes! the codes can be used if you loose access to your 2FA app.

Using 2FA for Future Logins

Once 2FA is enabled:

  1. Enter your username and password as usual
  2. You'll be prompted for a 6-digit authentication code
  3. Open your authenticator app and enter the current code
  4. Complete the login process

Important: If 2FA is enabled for your account, certain features like VNC connections may require additional authentication.
