Domain not reachable anymore Print

There can be a few reasons why a domain stops working.

ICANN status

  1. Check the domain status via the free WHOIS query tool.
  2. Enter your domain name in the search field.
  3. Check the result

If the status shows serverHold it can mean that the registrar suspended your domain because the domain was used for Phishing, Spam, Malware or other illegal activities. Unfortunately, we are not always informed about this.

it may also be that the DNSSEC record is wrong

The WHOIS shows that everything is okay with the ICANN verification. The next thing you check is the DNSSEC record. An invaliv DNSSEC record will lead to the result that the domain status itself is okay but the DNS doesn't work properly.

  1. Check your domain record via Verisignlabs
  2. Enter your domain name in the search field

If you see a similar status it means that your DNSKEY or DS records are invalid for your domain. Please check with us or your domain registrar the correct records.

If there are problems with a domain, please open a support ticket so that we can investigate the case.
