How to rename the hostname for your VPS

Per default the hostname for your VPS starts with the prefix srv-. You can change it very easy.

The first thing you should do is to log in into our VPS Control Panel.

1. Login: https://control.mynymbox.net:4035
2. Select the VPS from the list
3. Go to "Settings" and click on "Change Hostname"

The next step is to log in into your VPS Server.

1. Log in via SSH into your VPS Server
2. Execute the command: sudo hostnamectl set-hostname example-server
3. After you have logged out and log in again you should see the new hostname for your VPS Server.
